Description
Design Details
Designer: Designed by the Uruguayan artist Antonio Carrau.
The Story: The artwork is an interpretation of traditional 19th and 20th-century South American gaucho saddles. True to Carrau's signature style, the graphic pattern was originally built like a collage using meticulously torn and assembled pieces of paper.
Formats: This popular equestrian print is produced by Hermès as both a classic 90cm silk twill carré (under the name "Silla de Gaucho") and an oversized 140cm giant shawl (70% cashmere, 30% silk blend).
