Product Description
This is a fabulous Opal & Diamond ring from the Edwardian era . It was made circa 1901-1910 when opals were in highly prized and worn alongside the ivory lace and satin clothes. It is set with five well matched opals that display dominant red and blue flashes with yellow, green and blue undertone.
Surrounding are old cut diamonds, making for an eye-catching display when worn.
Each time I have worn this ring it has received compliments. It's a pleasure to wear and hypnotising to watch the vibrant colors dance when worn.
Most Edwardian opals originated from Coober Pedy in Australia and are prized for their quality and vibrant colors. The characteristics do indicate these opals are from the Coober region.
Tested as 18ct gold with an industry approved Mizar.
Measurea -Opal and diamond face measures 17mm x 8mm.
Approx opal size - 1.20ct.
Approx diamond size - 24 x 0.04 to 0.05pt approx weight 1.00ct.

Excellent condition for a piece that is now 120 years old.
Antique jewellery is now very sought after and becoming difficult to find. Similar pieces are currently selling on specialist sites for over £3000.00.
