Product Description
Hermès Paris – Grand Apparat – 90cm Silk Scarf – Early 1970s Vintage Edition (circa 1970–1975) – Jacques Eudel
Iconic Hermès silk carré “Grand Apparat”, vintage early 1970s edition (circa 1970–1975), designed by Jacques Eudel and originally created in 1962.
This design pays tribute to ceremonial horse harnesses used for official parades and royal processions. Every detail—bridles, breastplates, stirrups and saddle ornaments—is inspired by authentic 18th–19th century pieces from the Émile Hermès collection, reflecting the Maison’s equestrian heritage since 1837.
The central horse, shown in full ceremonial dress, embodies classical horsemanship and Hermès craftsmanship.
Edition of this piece:
This scarf corresponds to an authentic Hermès production from the early 1970s, prior to the modern reissues of the 1990s, identifiable by its silk quality, printing depth and hand-rolled edges.
