HEWI: Sara, thank you for taking the time to chat with us today. To start off, what inspired you to establish Wardrobe Revivals?
Sara: Thank you for having me. My passion for fashion and my extensive career in the industry made me realise there was a need for a more sustainable and authentic approach to women’s wardrobes. Wardrobe Revivals was born out of the desire to help women curate timeless, functional wardrobes and move away from the pitfalls of fast fashion.
HEWI: Your previous roles as a fashion editor at Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar must have given you a unique insight. How do you think those experiences have shaped your vision for Wardrobe Revivals?
Sara: Those roles immersed me in the world of high fashion, where I saw both the beauty of artistic expression and the challenges of an ever-changing industry. They taught me the value of classic pieces and the importance of quality over quantity. This foundation became the essence of Wardrobe Revivals, promoting sustainable choices without compromising on style.
HEWI: We’re thrilled about our upcoming live shopping event collaboration. What can viewers expect from this event?
Sara: I’m equally excited! Viewers can expect a curated selection of must-have pieces, essential for building a versatile and sustainable wardrobe. I’ll also be sharing some of my top styling tips and gifting ideas, perfect for the festive season. It’s all about helping women make informed choices that they’ll cherish for years to come.
HEWI: Sustainability is a big focus for both Wardrobe Revivals and HEWI. How do you envision this collaboration furthering to help the positive change in the way people shop?
Sara: This collaboration is a beautiful alignment of our shared ethos. By combining HEWI’s commitment to extending the life of luxury items with Wardrobe Revivals’ emphasis on timeless elegance, we’re taking a stand against the throwaway culture. Together, we’re showing that sustainability and luxury can harmoniously coexist, leading the way for a more conscious future in fashion.
HEWI: Lastly, for those looking to transform their wardrobes, what’s one piece of advice you’d like to give?
Sara: Invest in yourself. Choose quality over quantity. It’s better to have a few classic, high-quality pieces that you love and that stand the test of time than a closet full of items you barely wear. Embrace simplicity and authenticity, and you’ll not only look great but feel fantastic too.
HEWI: Thank you, Sara, for sharing your insights with us. We’re looking forward to our collaboration and the positive change we can drive together in the fashion world.
Sara: Thank you. It’s a pleasure to work alongside a brand that shares my values. Here’s to a successful event and a more sustainable future!
